About the Chamber

The Saugus Chamber of Commerce / Route One Area Business Association is a private, non-profit business and professional organization. It is financed on a voluntary basis, with each member firm making a proportional annual investment. Unlike any other organization, it is truly a representative of each sector of the local economy. In short, our membership is made of local men and women from both large and small businesses, industries and professionals all working harmoniously to improve their business climate and the area's economic well-being.

The general membership annually elects members of the Board of Directors. This Board of Directors and their Executive Director, acting upon the wishes of the general membership, set the course and direction of the Chamber.

The members may avail themselves to numerous Networking Opportunities. Breakfast and dinner meetings, which usually feature an informative speaker as well as receptions and special events, giving members the chance to expose their company's products and services and exchange business cards. Business Seminars offer aid in such areas as financing, controlling costs, personnel issues, business growth and a chance to exchange problem solving techniques. The Chamber keeps it's members informed on issues and legislation affecting the business climate and also maintains a current and complete source of information of the local government process to help members with specific concerns.
